Where is Gandevda Sangam Ghat – How To Reach There?

Today, we are going to tell you about one such sacred confluence located in western Uttar Pradesh which is the Sangam of Ganga river and Yamuna river.

The Gandevda’s Ghat is located in Gandhevda Village (Previously known as Aurangabad) of Shamli District. Where the two major rivers of India, the Ganges and the Yamuna, flow together, it is considered as holy as other religious places.

How to Reach to Gandevda Sangam Ghat by Bus?

Gandevda’s Sangam Ghat is well connected by Road. It is around 30 Km away from main Shamli and 19 Km from Thanabhawan town.

Gandevra Sangam ghat is lies on the way to Gangoh on Jalalabad Road. If you want to reach Gandevra Sangam Ghat by Bus then you need to take bus to Gangoh.

You can ask to Bus Driver to drop you at Gandevda Ganga Yamuna Sangam Ghat.

You can also visit Gandevda ghat by your own vehicle.  At Ghat, the parking facilities are also provided by the administration.

To reach Gandevra Sangam by train, either you can get down at Thanabhawan or Shamli Railway Station. Bus services are easily available from both the places.

How Is The Ganges Yamuna Sangam Place Looks Like?

Gandevda is a small village surrounded with lush greenery and fields.

The Ganges Yamuna Confluence Ghat in Gandhevda offers a serene ambiance, where the chilled water of the Ganges and Yamuna provides a refreshing bath experience. Additionally, the dense trees cover provides a soothing environment for the mind.

The Ghats were built both sides of the river, with the Ganges flowing on one side and the Yamuna on the other. Bathing is accessible from either bank of the river.

When was the Gandevda Sangam Ghat Built?

The construction of this confluence ghat in Gandhevda was done in 2018-19 by Lok Sabha Member Sh. Suresh Rana. Since then, it has been gradually developed by the Government time to time.

Thousands of people come to take bathe at this sacred confluence at Gandevra ghat everyday. Good arrangements for food and drink have also been made at Gandevra Ghat.

The street food like Chhole Bhature, Samosa chat, Pakoda, Pani Puri, Bread Pakoda are main dishes you can get there.

Tea, water, and cold drinks are also available at the ghat.
